FIL ROUGE

ORTICOLARIO 2013 | 4-5-6 October | Villa Erba , Como Lake | VERDEarchitettura took part in the fifth edition of Orticolario with “FIL ROUGE garden” built in the park of Villa Erba between the Bamboo garden and the beautiful old villa. Along a spiral path in “volcanic lapilli” you can meet eight spherical gardens with different types of shrubs, ornamental grasses and herbaceous perennials . The idea is that the visitor can discover new shrubs in the form topiata to be used as an alternative to Buxus, can take inspiration from the lightness of the autumn grasses spikes of medium size , then getting lost in the shades of yellow petals , orange, salmon and flamed red of the botanical collection of Rudbeckia Echinacea. At the center of a garden we can find a red greenhouse lantern-shaped and off scale that contains a selection of the most beautiful Viola cornuta in blooming from October until March. Outdoor furniture complete the exterior space of the garden and invite the public to a complete relaxation in nature.
